This wonderful community event has been a tradition of South Sound Center for 44 years. Every July 3rd you can come to the South Sound Center and watch as fireworks are set off by Entertainment Fireworks. People come to eat dinner at the surrounding restaurants or food vendors and do some shopping beforehand. Fireworks will be set off at about 10:15 pm and usually lasts about 20 minutes. The event starts at 5:30 pm.
In the past, the Washington National Guard has displayed some impressive military equipment for the community to peruse. From bringing in a portable kitchen for the field, to a helicopter to several hummers and tanks.
Past vendors have also included Hallfords Kettle Corn, Red Top BBQ, Veteran’s Association, and Pull My Ears Corn on the Cob.
This year, 2010, the vendors will be Old Fashioned Kettle Corn, Big Daddies Concessions, . Kids - N - Motion Tumblin’ Bus, LLC will have two huge inflatable units that the kiddies can play on for a nominal fee. We will also have free face painting and the American Legion Band will perform patriotic music from 7pm to 9pm.

VENDOR APPLICATION FOR EVENT:
Please fill out the Vendor Application and email or mail to Capital Development Company for approval. Vendors are taken on a first come, first serve basis; once approved. Please note...we do not have any electricity available at South Sound Center for vendors anymore. You will need to supply your own generator.
ENTERTAINMENT FOR EVENT:
We are always looking for patriotic entertainment to be performed before the fireworks are set off. Times would be anytime after 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm for performances.
SPONSORS FOR EVENT:
We are always on the lookout for sponsors to help fund this event. Any funds collected will go toward the purchase of fireworks, entertainment and advertising. If you would like to send in money to go toward this event please contact us. |
