South Sound Center is host to several annual community events as well as some individual events that do not occur on an annual basis. The list below is just a summary of the annual events. Please see our newsletters for additional information. To have an event at South Sound Center; see below.

Spring Funtastic Carnival -

Every April this carnival arrives for a whole week of fun during Spring Break. The kids can come and ride all types of rides and play many carnival games as well as eat hot dogs, cotton candy and hamburgers.

Flag Day Ceremony -

This event is held every June 14th and at 4:00 p.m. It is simulcast throughout the United States in honor of our American Flag. This event is held by at the Flag Plaza by Applebee’s.

South Sound Center Independence Day Celebration -

Every July 3rd Capital Development Company (that’s us!) funds this event for the community. This has been an annual tradition and many citizens from the Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and surrounding areas come and enjoy the fireworks show. The event starts at about 6:00 pm and goes to about 10:45 pm.

Olympia Toy Run -

The first Saturday of every December thousands of motorcycles and their generous riders come and gather for this toy run to benefit the local community of children. All the toys and money that is given at this event is donated to The Salvation Army.

We will need the following:

1. Name of event and what the event is?

2. When is the event to take place?

3. How much space is needed for the event?

4. Is this event Non-Profit or For-Profit?

5. Anything else that will be helpful for scheduling the event.

6. Please fill out the Mall Permit Application and return to our office.
