South Sound Center is host to several annual community events as well as some individual events that do not occur on an annual basis. The list below is just a summary of some of the annual events. Spring Funtastic Carnival -

Every April this carnival arrives for a whole week of fun during Spring Break. The kids can come and ride all types of rides and play many carnival games as well as eat hot dogs, cotton candy and hamburgers.

Flag Day Ceremony -

Hosted by OCTAR and Thurston County REALTORS®…….this National Holiday event is held every June 14th and at 4:00 p.m. It is simulcast throughout the United States in honor of our American Flag. This event is at the Flag Plaza by Applebee’s.

South Sound Center Independence Day Celebration -

A celebration of Independence that is held annually on July 3rd. It has become a tradition and staple to the many citizens of Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and surrounding areas. The event starts at about 5:30 pm and goes to about 10:45 pm.

Olympia Toy Run -

The first Saturday of every December thousands of motorcycles and their generous riders come and gather for this toy run to benefit the local community of children. All the toys and money that is given at this event is donated to The Salvation Army.
